De Bonte Wever is a four-star hotel with a publicly accessible swimming and sauna paradise. We recently installed over 350 electronic HPL lockers at this location, which visitors to the swimming pool or sauna can use to safely store belongings during an afternoon of relaxation.

Imagine the following situation: You are spending an afternoon at the pool with your family. Luckily, this time you have a coin with you for a locker. After changing, all your things go in there, the coin in the lock, the locker closed. After five minutes of struggling to get the strap with the key right on your wrist, it’s time for a dip.

After you have to walk to the lockers several times because one of your family members needs something from the locker and you cumbersomely, with the key still on your wrist, try to open the locker, you do things differently. You prise off the wrist strap and hand the key to the next person who wants to grab something. You don’t think about it again until the afternoon is over and you discover after showering that the key is missing.

No Coins, no Keys

At De Bonte Wever’s swimming pool, they have got it better. Visitors to the sauna and swimming pool can now use electronic lockers. No coins, no keys, just a terminal. Via this terminal with touchscreen, an available locker can be selected, which can be opened using a self-chosen pin code. The locker can be opened and closed indefinitely during the visit. Upon departure, the user indicates that the locker can be released to the next user.

De Bonte Wever offers the lockers free of charge, but it is also possible to have visitors pay for using the locker. This can be done by connecting a payment terminal to the touchscreen. Here, at locker level, a choice can be made for a specific period of time or unlimited use until departure.

Online Dashboard

Managing the lockers is easy via a dashboard, in which real-time and historical reports can also be created. This helps to gain insight into off-peak and peak moments in locker use. In the unlikely event of a power failure or malfunction, our electronic lockers are equipped with a mechanical emergency opening.

The project at De Bonte Wever represents another great collaboration in which the (moisture-resistant HPL) lockers of Olssen and the smart locker software of Keynius reinforce each other. This results in an optimal end product, which serves both the accommodation and their visitors.
